Rachel & Colton’s Wedding celebration at The Pie Eyed Monk Brewery: One Year Later
It’s hard to believe that a year has already passed since Rachel and Colton’s unforgettable wedding day at The Pie Eyed Monk Brewery in Lindsay. As I look back on their special day, I’m reminded of just how magical it was—filled with love, laughter, and the kind of moments that make wedding photography so meaningful to me. Rachel and Colton legally tied the knot a few days earlier at the courthouse and then celebrated with friends and family on this special day!
A Wedding Rooted in Friendship and Memories
Photographing Rachel and Colton’s wedding was extra special because I’ve known Rachel since childhood. When she asked me to capture her wedding, I was beyond honored. From the moment the day began at Pigeon Lake Resort, a place that holds so many cherished childhood memories, I knew this wedding was going to be filled with so many special moments. Watching Rachel get ready in a place where we had spent countless summers together was a full-circle moment that really reminded me why I love photography so much! It has allowed me to meet so many amazing people and brought me to so many cool places.
The Perfect First Look
Rachel and Colton’s first look was one of the most emotional moments of the day. As Colton turned around and saw his bride for the first time, the love and admiration in his eyes were undeniable. Tears, laughter, and the rest of the family peeking in to the room —it was a moment I’ll never forget.
A Brewery Wedding with Rustic Charm
The Pie Eyed Monk Brewery was the perfect setting for their celebration. With its exposed brick walls, warm lighting, and rustic wooden details, the venue created an intimate yet lively atmosphere that reflected Rachel and Colton’s easygoing yet sophisticated style. Every corner of the brewery was filled with love—from the heartfelt speeches to the non-stop laughter that carried on throughout the night.
The Details That Made the Day Unforgettable
No wedding is complete without stunning florals, and Rachel’s sister—owner of Bobcaygeon Flower Company—truly outdid herself. Her artistry was on full display in Rachel’s bouquet, which featured soft earthy tones and lush greenery that perfectly complemented the timeless aesthetic of the day. The floral arch at the ceremony added an extra touch of romance to an already beautiful setting—made even more special by the fact that Rachel’s dad unofficially officiated the ceremony, adding a heartfelt and personal touch to the celebration.
Celebrating a Year of Love
Looking back, Rachel and Colton’s wedding wasn’t just about the beautiful details—it was about the love, connection, and joy that filled every moment. Their celebration was a testament to the strength of their relationship and the incredible support they have from their friends and family. Seeing them now, one year later, continuing to grow together is a reminder of why I do what I do.
To Rachel and Colton—happy first anniversary! Thank you for trusting me to document your wedding day. It was an honor to be part of such a meaningful celebration, and I can’t wait to see where life takes you next. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, adventure, and happiness!
